Education
Hello again, I hope you are all well I will talk a little about education.
It's funny, a few days ago with my father we talked about this issue, specifically educational quality. The conversation centered on devising a way to solve the low quality of education in municipal schools. We began to wonder why private education is the best evaluated in this country, and why municipal education is deficient, so the first thing he put on the table was money, there is a clear difference in the budgets of both, right? One of the things that most threatens those schools that are municipal, is precisely their last name (municipal). Many municipalities and especially municipalities in low-income communes, San Ramón, La Pintana, La Cisterna, etc. they do not appropriately allocate the money that is exclusive to education. Here I will give a personal example and it is that in my commune a few years ago, in La Pintana, former mayor Jaime Pavez would have allocated resources that were for the commune among those education to finance expenses of the La Pintana football club, for this it was now formalized in 2020, but we have to remember that he served as mayor for 24 years, I repeat 24 years. This is how to end the conversation with my father, we reached a somewhat open conclusion, and that is that there should be a guarantee that those resources destined for education are effectively destined for education and also the idea that Ministry of Education would demand that The best schools in Chile share their study plans and forms, since today the only thing that both municipal and private share are the contents to teach
Well with this I say goodbye, peace
I totally agree with you and your father, but to add, I also had a similar experience with the mayor of my commune. It was " rumored" that she spent municipal education money on the manufacture of plush toys for her campaign. I believe that it's not necessary to mention which commune I am from, take a guess
