Health Care System ;(

Oh here we are again, Congrats we live other day Yeah! i´m so happy for that.

So public system the big problem of this country.  And the problem came with the dictatorship Oh! No Politics again, get out it´s not your turn !

Ok we back when in the dictatorship privatize everything the health system is not get out. So here it is the problem, in this step we lost the meaning of health  care like a people´s necessity. Because with the existence of private hospitals we have competition and the people´s health is looked at monetary benefict.

And the statistics is this.

• In Chile, less than 50% of doctors work in the public sector and a majority in the private sector, attracted by more comfortable working conditions and much higher income, which does not stop putting in tension the spirit of service and the ethical and social sense proclaimed by health professionals.

• Almost a third of health spending is paid directly by households, compared to less than 20% on average among OECD countries.

• Out-of-pocket spending on Health is high in Chile: 4.6%, while in the average of the OECD countries it is 2.86%, which, in terms of social equity, is revealing one of the most serious deficiencies. serious problems of our health system.

• The cost of medicines is disproportionate and there is an oligopoly of the pharmaceutical industry that arbitrarily fixes prices and, on occasions, has even colluded to increase them unjustifiably.

• The number of hospitals and the availability of hospital beds is clearly insufficient and many establishments show precarious conditions in their infrastructure and, in some cases, unworthy operating conditions.

We have a precarious system because, as always, the system benefits those who have more money and does not benefit those who really need. It is neoliberalism. In my experience my family has ISAPRE, good luck, and it is not very cheap, but something like going to a clinic like Clínica Vespucio is free, and yes ISAPRE deducts a lot of money from my mother's salary but I have good luck and Yes, I remember when we had FONASA and we went to the Padre Hurtado Hospital and that was horrible, it's horrible, every time I went, the wait was like 1-2 or 3 hours. Oh men what memories was like a horror movie, people die in the same room because the wait is too much. During that time, we don't go every time you know. that we take paracetamol or ibuprofen, hoping that it is nothing serious. The  things go better and my family and I have a better situation. Thanks for reed if you reed this :)
